Here's the instruction for checkerboard painting. DON'T DO THIS! One weekend I painted the bottom yellow to match the other parts of the airplane (some large sections will still be polished). Next weekend, I painted the upper section white (Lots of difficult masking to keep the white off the yellow). Two weeks later, I spent approximately 12 hours masking the checkerboard. Then painted the black. Still, after doing several tests before starting this, the black paint curdled and went dull on top of the shiny white. The next step is to clear coat it in about two weeks. wish me luck. Next airplane, I'll paint it with a brush and roller.

This is a quick picture with the painted vertical and dorsal just sitting on the tail. The dorsal is sitting low because it is not attached. Cool!
