If you look closely, you can see the lowered
area for the seat pan mod. I put lightening
holes in the center section and a few in the
outside wing panels for access; i.e. brake
lines, position lights, pitot tubing, etc.
The edging on the holes is a protective 'U'
channel that comes on industrial bandsaw
blades. I nipped it with cutters, bent it
around the hole, then epoxied in place.

Here I am in 1996, all zinc chromated, gear painted
gray, 'B' bulkhead riveted in place. Notice the
access panel (hinged); Great for later inspection of
taper pins that hold wing on, but also lets in light
when I have my hands in the lower panels to work.
Also, note on seat pan mod, I flanged the outside
top wing skins so that the cabin sides have someplace
to rivet to.

Sorry folks, I goofed. I forgot to put a note on the previous picture. It is my center section showing the
seat pan. Well here is the pan itself in primer. I'm using
a conversion primer made by Dupont. Notice the access panels to get to the brake line routing, electric lines, etc. See the brake lines routed on the previous picture.

My seat is 1/8" plywood, foam, and naugahyde, hinged for access to the baggage compartment. Very light weight.
