Here is a view of the bottom of the tank. I am trying to imagine the routing of the fuel line from the bottom of the tank. The fuel valve will have the handle removed and a long rod going up to the bottom of the panel.

This is another view of the bottom of the tank, the valve and the rudder bar. I think I'm lucky that my feet are so small. This is tight quarters. That is brake line on the left. It goes from two brake handles on the left of the cockpit around to the leading edge of the center wing where the cables split and go to their respective wheels.

Just another view from farther away. Polished on the outside skin, yellow on the inside. Should look nice with black instruments.

Here is a neat idea from Ron Dixon on his Mini Coupe (see Completed Teenies section). This 2.25" diameter open cup supplies ram air for his tank pressure. It is connected to the front vent by a rubber hose. Ron says it works well, especially with his Continental engine set up, which has a carb that is not as low as a VW. Helps mostly on the bottom third of fuel, according to Ron.

This is my fuel valve and line going to the firewall. The bracket below the valve holds a Saf-Air fuel drain as it is the lowest point in the line.

At left is the universal joint I made to connect the valve and rod to the fuel lever.
