View from inside of bay A - B, leading edge skin of center wing at bottom left. Curved skin at right is the inside of fuselage bottom front. Cal suggests forming tabs on this skin and bending out, covering with silicon caulk. Hector has made angle clips to rivet this skin inside the cabin area, which is cleaner looking. (Jack did the same thing basically, by making tabs at bottom but turning in).

Bulkhead 'A' top skin, showing 2nd piece riveted under to allow skin wrap to lay flat over the tank area.

Just like Hector's view; on top of leading edge, these are the tabs of the lower fuselage side, inside the front bay. Make them small, make little radii on the corners to prevent cracking, bend using an ample radius. Every rivet did not line up with a rib tab inside, so I epoxied (T-88 glue) an .040" thick plate on the inside to make sure the rivets had a solid 'bite.'

View looking forward to BLKHD A. The cylindrical dish is for the magneto housing - a cooking stainless steel dish from IKEA that comes with a flat lip to mount on to firewall. Cost - AUS$ 7.00 ( has to be the cheapest ready made part for this plane I have found !)

Front of firewall. No holes cut yet for the engine mount - the gap in the rows of rivets is where the holes should be. The shell of a VW case in lower foreground is for measurement/ideas only.

In Rafael Gomez´s Teenie all the angles are 2024 T3.They take a aditional work over the conventional 6061 T6 to bend becouse your biger rigidity .He made a cut in the horizontal face and put a reinforcement plate in the botton face of the angle, and fix with bolts. The end of the angle near to the bulkhead "A" is bend (opened),to fix flat with the reinforcement angles in the bulkhead "A".
Where he fix with bulkhead "B", put a triángular plate of suplement to fix flat with the botton face of bulkhead "B" (instrument).
